Ms. Teresa Medina

She is Ms. Teresa Medina, a 79-year-old Ecuadorian. She lives in the province of Loja, Catamayo canton, San Pedro de la Bendita parish.

She lived with her son Wilmer Medina in a small room owned by one of her cousins. His 51-year-old son died on May 15, 2024 due to a long illness of epilepsy, seizures and mental retardation.

Wilmer suffered from epileptic attacks since he was a teenager, but unfortunately Mrs. Teresa, due to his cultural condition and very poor education, took him to healers for the best

Later, perhaps when it was a little late, she already went to the doctors, surely not seeing his improvement

Wilmer shrank into his body until he was completely bedridden, with a 100% disability. They fed him only liquids. The doctors did everything possible to take care of his health, but nothing could be done.

Mrs. Teresa Medina is left living alone, in very deplorable conditions, she has no house, no land to build one on, she has no belongings, only a bed and her few clothes

She receives a pension of $100, she has vision problems, she has lost his left eye and with his right he can hardly see anything. Mrs. Teresa needs a place to live, her basic belongings to equip a home and financial aid for her subsistence.

This is the space where Mrs. Teresa lives, this video was made a few days ago when Wilmer was still alive. Look at the almost subhuman conditions, no one deserves to live this way. It only has those two beds and a few belongings
