Brayan Antonio Loaiza Sánchez, is a 26-year-old young man, lives in the south of Ecuador, in the parish of San Pedro de la Bendita, canton of Catamayo, province of Loja. About a year ago (April 2023), he was involved in a traffic accident with his motorcycle. Brayan admits that speeding played a trick on him and he lost control of the motorcycle, when he was traveling on a highway, just to go visit his 6-year-old son, since he is a single father

The accident left him with paraplegia due to spinal cord injury of the cervical t4, t5 and t6. Doctors diagnosed that he will never be able to walk again
Brayan lives with his father Don Angel Loaiza, his stepmother and stepsister, in a small house made of boards, through which the cold and water seeps in when it rains. The casita is located 15 minutes from the nearest town, so they have to rent a van to get around The living space; it is extremely small, it has absolutely no ease of access and mobility for Brayan.
Don Angel is a farmer, the land where he has the little house is owned by him and there they have some crops and chickens that they take care of together with his wife to be self-sufficient. Don Angel had to quit his odd paid jobs; to take full care of your child, because you need help moving him/her. Brayan doesn't have potty training, he wears a diaper, but he does have strength in his arms.
Brayan's closest aspiration is to be able to work in his profession which is Heavy Machinery Operator, he says that he could do certain jobs that he is assigned.
He wants to feel useful, and he is very young, and above all he needs to earn an income because he has to help support his young son. The support of people, institutions, and companies in Ecuador and other countries is needed to help this family build a house, adapted for Brayan and his family, as well as devices that help with their mobility and rehabilitation.
